LISNEAL COLLEGE MEAN BUSINESS AT SEAGATE

Following on from exam success in Business Studies, Mrs Gardiner took her group once again to Seagate for an indepth study of their Quallity Management processes.  Lisneal College scooped top awards in GCE A Level Applied Business in 2016 coming first in Northern Ireland.

Students had fun learning about the Seagate approach to quality.  They were given the chance to put on the Cleanroom suit, have a look inside a computer and learn from employees about working in the company.  A great insight for students!

DRUMRAGH COLLEGE AT THE NORTHERN IRELAND FIRE SERVICE

The Northern Ireland Fire Service welcomed students to their base at Omagh Fire Station as part of The Insight Programme.  This allows students to visit the station and see for themselves how firefighters train and work.  Students get hands on with equipment and learn about the services delivered by the Fire and Rescue Service.

Students had a great experience getting an insight into life as a firefighter!

OAKGROVE COLLEGE VISIT THE EVERGLADES HOTEL

Business Studies and Travel and Tourism students got an introduction to working within a hotel chain, thanks to the management of The Everglades Hotel.  Students were shown the new Ballroom which can accommodate up to 400 people!

"We had a great trip.  The staff who took us round and spoke to the students were fantastic!"
